How to play

October 15, 2026

Bumper Fighters is a browser game that mixes ricochet battles with an idle farm. Your heroes bounce down a field full of bumpers and enemies, harvest resources, and come back stronger between runs. The game runs in weekly seasons, each with its own pass, talent trees and ranking. This guide covers the game as it is today, and the questions at the end answer what players ask most.

Getting started #

Sign in with Google and choose a nickname. Your account and progress are saved on the server, so you can continue on any device.

New accounts receive a free Progression hero chest and a free Progression weapon chest. Open them in Chests to get your first hero and weapon. The How to play guide inside the game walks you through the first steps, and you can open it again anytime.

Weekly seasons #

The game runs in seasons of 7 days. Every season turns over on Sunday at 12:00 UTC (09:00 Brasília time), at the same moment for everyone. The season clock in the game shows the next turnover in your own time zone.

At the turnover, your season progress starts over and your collection stays. A letter in the Mailbox lists what the past season delivered.

  • Starts over: the campaign goes back to stage 1; wheat, wood and stone go to zero; talents and bought talent points, pass progress and missions start again; the ranking opens a new season.
  • Stays: heroes, weapons and enhancements; gold, gems, essence and fragments; saved chests, keys and luck dust; chest guarantee counts; team slots you bought; cosmetics, achievements and reputation.

The field #

Heroes launch at the top of the field and bounce down through bumpers, pegs and ledges. The lift carries them back to the top, and they go again. You build the team; the heroes fight on their own, and their skills trigger by themselves.

Enemies patrol the ledges. Gates open after enough hits. At the bottom, bins with multipliers boost what heroes bring back. The minimap shows your heroes, the enemies and the part of the field you are looking at.

Each stage asks you to defeat its enemies and harvest the resources it needs: wheat, wood and stone. Winning the fight is not enough if resources are still missing. Once the enemies are down, fast harvest speeds up the rest of the run.

Trapdoors #

A row of trapdoors runs from wall to wall across the field. A hero that lands on a closed trapdoor bounces off, and that trapdoor opens for the whole team for 5 seconds. A timer bar under it shows how long it stays open.

Each trapdoor has its own timer, so you will often see some open and some closed. Use the open ones to drop into the next section, and the closed ones for one more bounce.

Heroes and classes #

There are 9 hero classes. Each has a role on the field, its own skills and its own weapon type. Heroes level up from XP, up to level 60, and come in 5 rarities, from Common to Mythic.

Your team starts with 3 slots and can grow to 5. Team slot 4 can be bought once you have cleared stage 40, and Team slot 5 after stage 80, with wheat, wood, stone and gold. Your best stage ever counts, and bought slots are permanent. Heroes you are not using wait on the bench.

  • Rogue · Falling striker · Melee · Weapon: Daggers · Skills: Falling strike, Shadow passage, Evasion
  • Knight · Team guard · Melee · Weapon: Sword · Skills: Steady guard, Renewing shield, Heavy impact

  • Woodcutter · Harvester and bruiser · Melee · Weapon: Axe · Skills: Lumber, Timber, Giant feller

The campaign #

The campaign has 240 stages in 12 acts, from Hearthfield to Dawn Gardens. Each act has 20 stages split into 4 regions of 5 stages, each with its own map and scenery, and a boss waits every 5 stages. Clear a stage to unlock the next.

After a victory, Auto goes to the next stage and stops at the end of each act: you start the next act yourself. On the campaign's last stage, Auto keeps going.

Every season the campaign starts again at stage 1. The campaign gets tougher as you go: when a stage is too hard, replay stages you have already cleared, level up and ascend your heroes, and place talents, then try again.

After stage 240 the campaign is complete for the season. You can still replay any stage or play Endless practice.

Stages pay gold for every enemy defeated and more gold on clear. Campaign milestones along the way give Progression chests, and you can earn them again every season.

  • Act 1 · Hearthfield · Stages 1 to 20: Golden fields, Firefly orchard, Mill banks, Hill barns
  • Act 2 · Timber Hollow · Stages 21 to 40: Mosswood trail, Timber yards, Frost pines, Thaw pass

  • Act 4 · Harvest Vale · Stages 61 to 80: Reed banks, Ochre fields, Terraced orchard, Autumn grove

The farm and harvest #

Wheat, wood and stone buy talent points, team slots, Farm and Micro chests and deliveries. Heroes harvest them during runs, and the Harvest stat and harvest talents make them faster at it. They go to zero at every turnover.

Your farm keeps working while you are away. When you come back, you get a share of the harvest of the last stage you cleared, for up to 8 hours away (12 hours with VIP). There is also a daily harvest limit.

After a turnover, automatic income starts again with your first victory in the new campaign.

Chests and rarities #

There are four chest types. Premium, Progression and Farm chests come as hero chests and weapon chests; the Micro chest can give either. Every chest rolls a rarity, and the Chests screen shows each chest's odds, price and how many are left until each guarantee. Odds are the same for everyone, VIP included.

Guarantees count hero chests and weapon chests separately and carry over from one season to the next. Chest history keeps your last 100 openings and what came out of each.

  • Premium: 100 gems, or 900 gems for 10; a free Premium chest you hold opens one without gems. Odds: Common 65%, Rare 20%, Epic 10%, Legendary 4.5%, Mythic 0.5%. A Legendary or better is guaranteed within 60 chests, and a Mythic within 200. Only Premium chests give Mythic.
  • Progression: from campaign milestones, weekly missions, achievements and the Free rewards of the pass, or opened with 5 keys. Never with gems. A Legendary is guaranteed within 100 chests.
  • Keys: each victory has a 2% chance to drop a key, or 5% if you have VIP when the run starts, up to 5 keys per game day. Saved keys have no limit.
  • Farm: paid with wheat, wood and stone, at a price that follows the highest stage you reached this season, up to 2 a game day. An Epic is guaranteed within 100 chests.
  • Micro: unlocks once you have bought every talent point of the season. Same price as a Farm chest, up to 10 a game day. It gives gold, a few gems, or a Common, Rare or Epic hero or weapon.

Inventory and weapons #

The inventory holds your heroes and weapons. Each hero equips one weapon of its class. Team and weapon changes wait until you apply them, all at once.

Favorite or lock a hero or weapon to protect it: protected items cannot be retired, dismantled, fused, gifted or sold. Up to 3 team presets save a team with its weapons; VIP raises that to 10.

Talent trees #

Talents are your upgrades for the season. Buy talent points with wheat, wood, stone and gold: 51 general points for the Account tree and 42 class points for the class trees. Each point costs more than the one before, and higher pass levels put more points on sale.

The Account tree has three branches. Each class tree starts with a trunk; once it is full, choose one of two paths. Keystones at the end of a path change how that class's skills work.

Respec returns every point so you can place them again; the resources and gold you spent do not come back. You get a few respecs each season, more with VIP. Talents and bought points reset at every turnover.

Getting stronger #

Ascend a hero with a duplicate of the same class, rarity and stars, plus gold and essence, to give it another star, up to 5 stars. Stars make its skills reach further or last longer.

In the Forge, enhance a weapon with gold and fragments, up to +5; enhancing never fails. From +6 to +10, only with weapon prestige at pass level 25: one level per season for an Epic or better weapon. Check the current season pass for access conditions. Prestige you do not use before the turnover is lost.

Fusion turns several free items of one rarity into an attempt at one item of the next rarity. It costs gold, and luck dust raises the chance; if it fails, you get one item of the same rarity back. Luck dust comes from the pass or costs 10 gems each.

Dismantle weapons you do not need for fragments, and retire heroes you do not need for essence. Ascend, fusion, retire and dismantle cannot be undone.

Season pass #

Each season has a pass with 25 levels. It opens once you have cleared stage 5. Daily missions, weekly missions and challenges give pass points. 3 new challenges arrive each game day and stay open until the turnover.

Everyone gets the Free rewards: gold, resources, Progression chests, gems, luck dust and the right to sell in the Market from level 11. VIP adds the VIP rewards while it is active: a Premium hero chest, more luck dust and season cosmetics. Weapon prestige is available at level 25 under the conditions shown in the current season pass. Higher levels also put more talent points on sale.

At the turnover, rewards you reached but did not claim are delivered: the Free rewards and the VIP rewards already unlocked, even if VIP has expired. Active VIP also unlocks the rewards reached by that moment. Resource rewards and unused weapon prestige are lost, so claim and use them during the season.

Missions, deliveries and the Journal #

Daily missions give gold, pass points and up to 9 gems a day. Weekly missions give pass points, a Progression hero chest and gold. Each available resource contract in Deliveries can be completed once per game day: spend that resource to receive gold and reputation. Reputation cannot be traded. The Journal also tracks achievements and the Bestiary of creatures you have found.

Loot from defeated enemies, weekly missions and campaign milestones waits in the loot panel until you collect it.

Season ranking #

Each season has its own ranking. You earn ranking points by defeating bosses, fusing, ascending, enhancing, using weapon prestige and buying Farm and Micro chests. The ranking screen explains every rule under How to score. Players with the same points share a position.

When a prize pool is shown, the top 10 share it. The pool is a percentage of the season's revenue, and the ranking screen shows its amount and split. Before payment, the top positions are checked against linked accounts. Prizes are paid by the end of the following season, in USDC to the Base wallet linked to your account.

Cosmetics #

Frames, titles, stickers, a trail, a victory effect and the Participant seal change how you look in the game, never how strong you are. Most are VIP rewards of the pass; the Participant seal is the Free reward of its last level. Equip them in Cosmetics.

Endless practice #

Endless practice runs on your device with a practice team. It has no rewards and no leaderboard.

VIP #

VIP helps you progress and makes playing more comfortable. It does not directly raise hero stats or change chest odds. You buy it in the store in plans of 30 or 90 days; the 90-day plan also adds 5 free Premium hero chests. There is no automatic renewal: buying adds days to your current VIP.

  • A free Premium hero chest every day, saved up to 30.
  • VIP pass rewards stay claimable once unlocked, until the season ends. Selling is available while VIP is active; without VIP, reach level 11 of the current season pass.
  • A 5% key chance per eligible victory instead of 2%, fixed by VIP status when the run starts, up to 5 keys per game day. Free talent respecs: 3 per season instead of 1.
  • Fast mode up to 3x.
  • Offline rewards for up to 12 hours instead of 8, plus 5% only on offline harvest.
  • Up to 10 team presets instead of 3.
  • Swap one daily mission per day.
  • Change your nickname once every 30 days.
  • Gift one hero or weapon to another player every 30 days.
  • Automations: claim rewards automatically, repeat the stage you cleared, and start the next act without a click.
  • Lower seller fees on listings created while you have VIP: 8% instead of 10% in the gem markets, and 8% instead of 10% on Pix and USDC listings.
  • VIP badge next to your name in chat and rankings, a portrait frame and a colored trail for your heroes.

Gem store #

Gems open Premium chests, buy luck dust and extra respecs, and pay in the gem markets. Daily missions, the daily vote and the pass give gems, and you can buy gem packs and VIP in the Gem store: with Pix in Brazil, or with USDC on Base anywhere.

All purchases are final. There are no refunds. Gems can't be cashed out.

The Market #

Heroes and weapons for gems: trade Common and Rare heroes and weapons for gems. Resources for gems: buy and sell whole lots of gold, wheat, wood and stone with gems; a lot stays listed for up to 24 hours. In both markets, the seller pays a 10% fee in gems, or 8% with VIP, when the sale completes; those gems are removed from the game.

Players can also sell Epic, Legendary and Mythic heroes and weapons to each other for Pix (Brazil only) or USDC on Base. Common and Rare items trade only for gems. A listed item is locked: you cannot use, equip or enhance it until it sells or you cancel the listing.

Selling needs active VIP or level 11 of the current season's pass; buying is open to everyone. Wheat, wood and stone lots end at the turnover, and what is unsold comes back to you before the reset. Gold lots and hero and weapon listings carry on.

Prices, fees and payment rules for these sales are in the Terms of use, and the game shows the exact amounts before you confirm.

Daily vote #

Daily vote is an optional daily mission: vote for Bumper Fighters on TopIdle. A confirmed vote lets you claim 10 gems, once per game day (the day turns at 12:00 UTC). Voting is a bonus, never a requirement.

Invite friends #

Invite friends opens your invite link. Everyone who creates an account through it counts as your invite, and the screen shows how many friends joined. When invite rewards are on, the screen shows the reward and its rules. Only new players count: accounts of the same person or on the same device do not earn rewards.

Community #

The chat panel has the chat and the trade chat. News, sale letters and season letters arrive in the Mailbox, and Community has the feedback form. Report a message to send it to the moderators. Please read the Rules before you chat or trade.

Questions and answers #

Short answers to what players ask most about seasons. For help with your account, email bumperfighters@gmail.com.

What changes every week?

Each week is a new season with its own pass, talents and ranking. The campaign starts again at stage 1, and your heroes, weapons and collection stay with you.

Which chests are there?

Premium, Progression, Farm and Micro. Premium opens with gems or a free Premium chest you hold. Progression comes from milestones, weekly missions, achievements, the pass and keys. Farm costs wheat, wood and stone. Micro unlocks once you have bought every talent point of the season. The Chests screen shows the odds and guarantees of each one.

Is the pass free?

Yes. Everyone gets the Free rewards. VIP adds the VIP rewards while it is active. Missions and challenges give pass points, and the pass starts over every season.

How do talents work?

Buy general and class points with wheat, wood, stone and gold, then place them in the Account tree and the class trees. Higher pass levels put more points on sale. Respec lets you place them again during the season; talents and bought points reset at the turnover.

When does the season turn over?

Every Sunday at 12:00 UTC (09:00 Brasília time). The season clock in the game shows it in your time zone. The game day, for missions, challenges and daily limits, turns at 12:00 UTC.

What starts over?

The campaign goes back to stage 1. Wheat, wood and stone go to zero, including what you bought in the Market. Talents and bought points, pass progress and missions start again, and the ranking opens a new season. Gold spent on talents does not come back.

What stays?

Heroes, weapons and enhancements; gold, gems, essence and fragments; saved chests, keys and luck dust; chest guarantee counts; team slots you bought; cosmetics, achievements and reputation.

Did my old free chests become Progression chests?

No. Free chests saved before weekly seasons began still open as Premium chests. New chests from milestones and other Progression sources follow the Progression rules.

How do I get team slots 4 and 5?

Buy them with wheat, wood, stone and gold once your best stage ever reaches 40 for slot 4 and 80 for slot 5. Bought slots are permanent. Players who had these slots from the old talents kept them as permanent slots.

What happens to a run that started before the turnover?

It still pays gold, XP, loot and keys, but no wheat, wood or stone, and it does not advance the new campaign, missions or pass. The game marks it as a run from the previous season.

Why is my harvest at zero just after the turnover?

Automatic income starts again with your first victory in the new campaign. If it still shows zero after a confirmed victory, contact support.

Do I need to claim every pass reward before the turnover?

Rewards you reached but did not claim are delivered at the turnover: the Free rewards and the VIP rewards already unlocked, even if VIP has expired. Active VIP also unlocks the rewards reached by that moment. Resource rewards and unused weapon prestige are lost, so claim and use them during the season. The season letter in the Mailbox lists what was delivered.

Can I join in the middle of the week?

Yes. Challenges already released stay open until the turnover and count from the moment you join; daily missions of past days are gone. The pass opens once you have cleared stage 5, and the season ends at the same time for everyone.

How do ranking prizes work?

When a prize pool is shown, the top 10 of the season share it, and the ranking screen shows the amount, the split and your status. The top positions are checked against linked accounts before payment. Prizes are paid by the end of the following season, in USDC to the Base wallet linked to your account. Never send your details through forms or addresses the game does not show you.

I lost the response after opening, buying or claiming. What should I do?

Use the recovery the game shows for the original request. Do not repeat the purchase or clear your browser data while it checks. If it stays pending, email bumperfighters@gmail.com with your nickname, the time and time zone, your device and what happened. Send account and payment details only in private.

Can I keep selling after the turnover?

With active VIP, yes. Without VIP, reach level 11 of the current season's pass. Hero and weapon listings stay open; wheat, wood and stone lots end at the turnover and the unsold part comes back to you before the reset. If VIP ends, the pass level rule applies again.
